Original Sin?

I decided to make a comic about something that could become a very big deal, even more than it already is. This is a complex issue which could affect everyone’s future. Here are a couple of articles that I read: Crunch TimeΒ and Apple v FBI. For more information about Grand Funk, consult your school library.Β FT πŸ™‚

The Sun Never Sets

I was sick for two days earlier this week, so I did not have time to read and comic about anything of significance that could be considered “political.” My apologies. My dad showed me a link to an article from the TelegraphΒ about J.K. Rowling and her incredibly rude disregard for anyone other than herself. Come to think of it, self serving actions, ego, being oblivious to those around one or simply not caring DOES sounds like a certain group in London. I did ask for some outside help for the ‘Harry speech bubble’, specifically the word ‘bawheid’ suggested by @traquir. A close second was @yoorwullie with ‘wallaper’. A very distant 3rd was @hipsflake whose suggestions aren’t even uttered by sailors! 18 Sweary Words.Β (no swears were uttered in the making of this comic) FT πŸ˜›

Easy Squeezy

I am trying to understand the economic and political situation going on in Scotland. The more I read, the more confused I seem to get (no surprise huh?). I read this blog post by Iain Macwhirter and think I am beginning to see just how daunting the future in Scotland may be. A little hug between friends, no? No! FT πŸ˜›

A Medal Without Mettle

I want to thank @traquir for sending me pictures of what I (at first) thought was a joke. I still think it may be a hoax, but that doesn’t stop Nigel from reporting. If it isn’t a hoax, then it appears Labour are pulling out all the stops prior to May….guess that will make the trip down the drain a lot quicker. FT πŸ˜›

Non Buyer Beware

I do realize that entities receiving government funding have a responsibility to represent that government. In doing so, are they also required to relinquish any freedom of choice? I am still trying to understand the realities of politics, but THIS just doesn’t seem right. FT

Welcome To Wales

Travel PSAs are back, and this time with an installment on Wales, a country that is home to both the world’s oldest record store and, surprisingly, fewer Welsh people per square mile than any other country in the world. FT πŸ˜›

The Ail For What Cures You

I made this comic after reading some articles about how politics is adversely affecting medicine in England. Junior doctors recently went on strike to protest a forced contract that seems unfair. Apparently politics is more important than medicine or people’s well being. Thank you Jeremy Hunt for proving THAT.Β Β Doctors want to help people. Politicians want to help themselves. I don’t understand. It all makes me a bit ill. FT 😦
