The Torying Inferno

Thought I would experiment a little with a photo editing app. This sure is better than the original plain white background. Obviously the quote is from Dante’s The Divine Comedy, Inferno, Canto III line 9. I almost had the guy replying, “The path to paradise begins in hell” but figured it would be too much. FT 😁

Fox Or Faux?

Gene and I started a project called “Ask Gene Hackman” years ago solving real problems for real people. We were inundated with letters to the point where a hiatus was in order; however, since this is such a heinous issue that needed to be addressed, I asked Gene to bring his remarkable powers of common sense to bear and settle it…..once and for all. Thank you, Gene. FT

The Tory Colossus

Another idea that popped into my head (sadly) after reading articles about the immigrant situation in the UK in the wake of Brexit. It is not pretty. In the Factory, we recently learned about US immigration in the late 19th century. The poem “The New Colossus” by Emma Lazarus was written in 1883 as a dedication to the Statue of Liberty and is engraved on a plaque inside it. It is a poem of hope and inspiration. The situation in the UK at present seems to be the exact opposite of those sentiments found in that poem. My sincerest apologies to you, Ms. Lazarus for having dragged you into this. FT
